DAY 6 @ TCS SUMMER CAMP
Day 6 was meant to be a Blue Day for Trinitarians. All were dressed in
different shades of blue.
Today all seeked adventure and so we set out in the hilly area of
Pajakashetra. This place is famous for the temple which stands on top of
rocky hill. There are 250 steps carved out on the rocky hill. The students
got down from the bus and raced to the peak to reach the beautiful spot. The
temple is buiit with wooden carvings and beautiful sculptures of rock. The
area surrounding the temple is densely covered with trees and bushes. There
were many monkeys whom we enjoyed watching. They gulped up food given by the
children and ran to the water taps and drank water like human beings. There
were tunnel-like caves where children loved exploring them.
Later after snacks we moved on to a marble polishing factory which was under
construction. Children were amazed to see the big machinery and the job it
carried out.
Exotic lunch was served at a residence in Shankerpura after which we headed
towards a hill near the Innanje railway station. It was a vast area where
children enjoyed climbing up and down the steep hills and jumping around.
Later refreshments were served and the day came to an end
with the hope of doing some new things tomorrow!!
