Diwali Dhamaka
Our school celebrated the festival of lights on 5th of November with a
prayer service by lighting of the symbolic lamp done by our Principal & all
the teaching staff members.
Arpitha of STD VII was the master of the ceremony. Vruddhi of STD VI spoke
on the importance of the festival as celebrated by all the Hindus, Buddhists
and even the Jains.
A dance performance was given by Poorvika ,Chaithra ,Yashasnwini of III, VI
grade standards. They clubbed the festival of lights with Rajyothsava day
and performed a dance on the famous song Hachchevu Kannadadha Deepa.
And is the same spirit a Lantern making and a Rangoli Competation was held
for the students from I to IX STD.
Students of I to V did using crayons on paper while VI to IX did the designs
on the floor using Rangoli powder with various colors and flower petals. The
designs were beautiful, artistic, and creative, and were of;
1) Decorated lamps or deepas
2) Tulasi katte or tulasi plant
3) Geometrical designs
4) Butterflies
5) Cradels
6) Flower baskets
7) Sooji ( rava)peacocks
8) Lord Ganesh etc
Not only the girls, even the boys did wonderfully well-said the newly joined
teachers of this year. The programme was culminated with burning of the
crackers which is a part & parcel of Diwali celebration in India.
The students were overjoyed in doing so. Alas! The day of fun had to end,
with this, they all left to their homes safe & sound with all sweet memories
of the day.
