Trinity Updates for month of
August 2013
-
In order to aim at the
all round development of the child. A Drawing competition was held at
Trinity on the 4th of August in respect of the “friendship day” celebration.
Students of LKG to Std IX took part in the competition. Each class was given
three prizes each. Nineth standard were asked to sketch national leaders and
freedom fighters, using pencil shading. Class Eight to Class First were
asked to draw and color National symbols, National bird, National animal,
National flower, and National tree respectively. Nursery, LKG, UKG were
given simpler themes.

Independence Day
celebrated at Trinity. Chief Guest of the day was the Area co-operator Mr.
Prashanth Bhat. Flag hoisting, March Past, Speeches, Cultural items marked
the program of the day. Elrica Furtado of Eight standard made a Kannada
speech, Melona D’ Souza made a speech in Hindi, Abel Menezes gave speech in
English. Surprise guest of the day was Rev. Fr. George from Africa. Parents
and students left to their home with a sense of pride and with a lot of
patriotic feelings.

As said and aimed for the
all round development of the child various activities are held at Trinity
like:
a. Karate classes (snaps).
b. Drawing classes (snaps).
c. Music classes (snaps).
d. Dance classes both Western and Classical as well (snaps) every Saturday.
Renowned masters are appointed for all the above mentioned classes.

In order to bring out the
spirit of true sportsmanship Trinity is divided in to four groups. Such as:
a. William Shakespeare. ( Blue )
b. Robert Frost. (Yellow)
c. William Wordsworth. (Green)
d. John Keats. (Red)
Groups are named after
world famous writers just to encourage children to know these writers better
as they learn about them in their English literature classes.

Four groups have
inter group competitions throughout the year and points are allotted
likewise. Notice boards are maintained by these four groups and updated
every week on which they are marked points out of 10.

Points are displayed
on a common board to let the students know where their group stands.
This helps them to take things more seriously and be well prepared for
all the future competitions to come their way.

LITERARY WEEK
Trinity not only gives importance to physical and cultural activities
but due importance and prominence is also given to education and
development of the mind (cognitive development) so to support this
thought “Literary week “ was held from 23th August to 27th August with
the following competition every day in the zero hour period allotted for
such activities.
