CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATIONS (13 &14.11.2025)

They say 'you only get to be a child once'. Let's beg to differ. As adults, we are asked to grow up, and the same holds when we move from the monkey-age to the early tweens, and then teens. But at every phase, there's always that little spark of childlike impishness that wants to say, 'Let me be a child again'.

And that was the exact scenario, as the children of all age groups (including the oldest children - i.e. teachers), thought 'why not live life ..one moment at a time'. Adorned in colourful attire, the event started with a note of gracious welcome to the Principal Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo, Vice Principal and Administrator Fr Amar Lobo, Academic Co-ordinator, Section Heads and class representatives from Nursery to Grade 10 by the compere Ms Sushmitha Carolin.

After the invocation of God's blessings, flowers were offered to the architect of Children's Day Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru by the dignitaries on the dais, afterwhich Ms Archana Shetty spoke of the importance of the day. Children love gifts, and to mark the special moment - the Principal gifted the student representatives with colourful bundles to be later shared with their classmates.

The cultural programmes performed by the educators was a blend of joy, laughter and surprise. Starting off with a special song by the teachers, the amazing dance performance by the teachers had the children up on the feet with, 'oh wow!'. However, the musical kitchenette performance by the male educators left everyone in laughter splits.

In his address to the students, the Principal conveyed his best wishes and asked the children to develop and improve their skills, and to learn values of respect, harmony and kindness. It was a dance marathon, with students coming class wise and dancing their hearts out.

Overall, it was unforgettable celebration.
