PTA MEET 2025-26

On Saturday, May 24th the annual PTA meet before the commencement of the academic year was held at the school premises. The day was graced with the presence of Rev Fr Paul Melwyn Dsouza, Vicar Provincial of the Holy Trinity Province, who was the Chief Guest and President of the event.

As compere of the programme, Ms Sharon Dsouza initiated the event with a welcoming invite to all the dignitaries onto the dais. In the august presence of the Chief Guest was Principal Rev Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo, Vice Principal and Administrator Rev Fr Ravi Rajesh Serrao, Academic Co-ordinator Ms Magdalena Lewis, and PTA Secretary Ms Priya Furtado. Also present, were Rev Fr Cyril Roshan Menezes, Rev Fr Amar Lobo and Rev Fr Manohar.

The post noon event commenced with the educators leading all into prayer, after which Ms Preetha Furtado expressed the words of welcome. With the release of colourful balloons, the academic year was formally inaugurated by all on the dais.

After being introduced by Ms Sunitha and felicitated thereafter, the chief guest and president of the event Rev Fr Paul Melwyn Dsouza spoke of how proud he felt of the institution that had grown leaps and bounds, in the last 17 years. He congratulated the faculty for having secured 100% pass results in the CISCE Examinations of 2024-25 for 11 years on the trot. He also conveyed that the children of today need to be moulded in a way that encourages critical thinking and promotes their creativity, all the while ensuring that they are brought up with good values in a safe environment.

He also iterated that in a world that is now dominated with technology for every little activity, bookish knowledge is not enough. Children, parents, educators and the society at large need to learn and be accepting of the changes ahead of them, and that all must share this knowledge with each other.

Following on, parents were invited to join the PTA for the new academic year. 8 new parents joined the PTA. Parting is such sweet sorrow - though a cliched Shakesperean verse, good byes are never easy. In saying so, the Trinity family bid adieu to two stalwarts of the institution whose very presence has been nothing short of inspiration, discipline and dedication towards the institution.

Rev Fr Ravi Rajesh Serrao, a man of few, but impactful words moved onto his new journey after a decade long tryst with Trinity. Fr Ravi s successful tenure and achievements were well highlighted by Ms Keerthi who read the citation, following which Fr Ravi was felicitated with a standing ovation. In his speech, Fr Ravi expressed his gratitude to the institution, parents and students for their support, and trust.

Rev Fr Cyril Roshan Menezes, a quiet, humble and much-loved guardian of Trinity Vihar also bid adieu to the Trinity family. Fr Cyril was also felicitated by the Trinity family. After the felicitations, the Principal introduced and welcomed the school s newly appointed Vice Principal and Administrator Rev Fr Amar Lobo. Rev Fr Manohar, the newly appointed Superior of Trinity Vihar was also accorded a gracious welcome.

Following on, the Principal iterated the important rules and regulations of the college, and Ms Magdalena Lewis highlighted the important academic points. They were joined by along with Ms Shifali Shrikanth who translated the same in Kannada as well. Fr Ravi Rajesh Serrao introduced the teaching faculty, non-teaching, ancillary, and transport staff to all present.

In his speech, the Principal thanked all the parents for renewing their trust in the institution and for their continued support. He requested parents to be more understanding towards their children, and to help them develop skills and not just focus on marks or becoming the topper in class. He shared that the challenges of the world in today s times requires not just knowledge of the subject but also thinking, creative, and problem-solving skills.

The cover of the annual school magazine, TRITV 2024-25 was unveiled by the chief guest, along with the Principal and other dignitaries on the dais. With Mr Mervin Kumar conveying the Vote of Thanks, the curtains were drawn to a meaningful event. Refreshments were served to all.
