Cubs Students Harvest and Donate Turmeric
Perampalli, March 10: The
Cubs students of Trinity Central School, Perampalli,
successfully wrapped up their year-long agricultural
activity by harvesting turmeric and preparing it into
turmeric powder. In a special gesture, they donated the
turmeric powder to the school, handing it over to Rev.
Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo, Principal of Trinity Central
School, during the closing ceremony of the Cubs
activities.
This achievement was made possible under the guidance
and support of the Cubs teachers, who played a crucial
role in mentoring the students throughout the process.
From planting the turmeric seeds to nurturing,
harvesting, and processing the crop, the teachers
provided valuable insights and hands-on training. Their
encouragement motivated the students to actively engage
in the activity and develop a deep appreciation for
agriculture.
This project not only taught students the fundamentals
of farming but also instilled a sense of
self-sufficiency and the joy of giving back. The
successful completion of this initiative highlights the
importance of experiential learning, encouraging young
minds to engage with nature and develop essential life
skills.
