Annual Sports meet 2024-25

The most awaited Annual Sports meet of Pre primary and Primary sections was held on 23 and 24th October, 2024 respectively on Trinity grounds.

The principal Rev. Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo (Principal), Rev. Fr. Ravi Rajesh (Administrator and Vice principal), Ms. Magdalena Lewis (Academic Co-Ordinator), Dr. Poornima Devadiga (Primary Section Head) Ms .Renita Montero Pre- Primary Section Head were present

The formal programme commenced with a prayer hymn seeking God’s blessings on all the participants.

The event began by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries .

The principal Rev. Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo greeted and encouraged the students through his speech.

The formal programme was compered by Ms Sharon D'Souza.

The day’s sporting events commenced with the 30mtr, and 60 Mtr race for Pre primary students and 100 and 200 mtr track events for primary boys and girls in which the winners were felicitated by the principal. It was followed by various other track events. The relay race between the 4 houses was the most thrilling event of the day. It was indeed an enjoyable day for all the sports lovers.

On 25th October 2024 we witnessed the physical competence of our future sports persons – Sub Junior, Junior and Senior students (from grades 5- 10) at District Stadium Ajjarkad, Udupi.

The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. Roshan Kumar Shetty, Assistant Director, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Udupi and a renowned Sports Trainer.

The event commenced with the invocation of prayer by our choir students. Ms. Niharika of grade 5 welcomed the gathering. The march past is the pride of every sports day. Voiced by Ms Ifra Taj of grade 10 and led by the Head Girl Ms. Khyati and Head Boy Leroy Richard Pasanna students presented a commendable and disciplined march past.

The stadium glowed with the presence of the cadets of the school houses – Spoleto, Greccio, Rivo Torto and Laverna. Dr. Roshan Kumar Shetty, the Chief Guest along with our principal Rev. Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo, Vice Principal Rev Fr Ravi Rajesh, Academic co-ordinator Ms. Magdelina Lewis declared the sports meet, open by floating the balloons and thus declaring the commencement of the Trinity annual sports.

This was followed by the oath of fair play to all students. In his address to the students, Dr Roshan Kumar Shetty spoke about physical fitness and utilisation of public stadiums to keep our physic fit.

As in the Olympics, the lighted flaming torch is a reminder of the zeal and fairness with which sports persons have to play. The lighted torch – beacon of unity and sportsmanship was taken around the stadium of Ajjarkad.

In his message, principal Rev. Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo reiterated the importance of being active in sports.

Master Ayman of grade 6 proposed the vote of thanks. Mst.Yashraj and Ms.Ramona hosted the entire event.

All students actively participated with enthusiasm in all sporting events, and spent an eventful, productive and enjoyable day on the ground.
